Cupcake Complete 101

Cupcake Complete 101

Small cakes, big personality. Treat accordingly.

Our cupcakes may be individual sized, but they still deserve a little care and attention. From the moment they leave our hands to the moment you take that first bite, a little TLC keeps them looking as fabulous as they taste.

How to Transport

Keep your cupcakes flat, secure and cool during transport.

Please keep the box level, avoid placing anything on top, and resist the temptation to carry them around loosely. Buttercream is beautiful, but it is not particularly fond of being squished, shaken or introduced to the side of a cupcake box.

They like a smooth ride.

How to Store

Cupcakes are best enjoyed fresh, but if you're saving them for later, store them in the fridge.

Keep them securely covered and enjoy within 3–5 days for the best quality.

If you are planning for eating later than that please freeze in an airtight container, they will be fine and delicious for up to 1 month.

How to Serve

For the best flavour and texture, take your cupcakes out of the fridge approximately 60 minutes before enjoying.

This allows the cake to soften and the buttercream to become smooth, creamy and velvety, exactly how we intended it.

Because cold buttercream simply isn't living its best life.

You've done the important part, you've brought them home safely.

Now all that's left is to make a coffee, put your feet up and enjoy your little cake.

But how to eat, there are several schools of thought.

  • The Classic:
Eat from the top down like a perfectly civilized person.
  • The Buttercream First:
Take the frosting off first. We don't judge.
  • The Cupcake Sandwich:
Remove the wrapper, cut or gently pull the bottom portion of the cake off, place it on top of the buttercream and create the ultimate cake-to-frosting sandwich.

Honestly?

It's a cupcake. It should be fun.
